We will start the expedition with a Dahab shore based diving component. If you are attending the Dahab section (7 or 4 nights) then you will need to arrive in Hurghada (HRG) by 05th or 08th August respectively or fly directly into Sharm (SSH) arriving on or before 06th or 09th August. Diving commences for the 7 night package on 7th August for 2 days and then we take one ay off to allow divers to rest and carry out land trips like hiking mount Sinai and allowing other divers to arrive on 9th August and then we resume diving on 10th through 12th August for 3 days before flying to Hurghada on 13th August where we will spend 2 nights and one and a half days resting or carrying out land activities before boarding the boat at 3pm on 15th August.
We will do the following wrecks with 20 to 24 guided dives planned. This dive plan is weather dependent. El Mina (checkout dive), Carnatic (2 dives), Chrisoula K (2 dives), Giannis D (2 dives), Rosalie Moller (2 dives), Ulysses (2 dives), Thistlegorm (4 dives), Kingston (2 dives), Dunraven (1 dive), Yolanda Reef (1 dive), Kimon M (2 dives) and back to El Mina.
Proposed Liveaboard dive schedule depending on weather is as follows:
Saturday Day 1: Board boat in afternoon
Sunday Day 2: (2 dives)
Monday Day 3: (4 dives)
Tuesday Day 4: (4 dives)
Wednesday Day 5: (4 dives)
Thursday Day 6: (4 dives)
Friday Day 7: (2 dives) return by 15:00 stay overnight on boat
Saturday Day 8: Disembark by 09:00hrs
Base price for the North trip is $1300 per diver for the basic cabin. There are 4 styles of cabin available ranging from $1300, $1500, $1650, $1750 and ($1900 based on per person double occupancy)
Trip costs include the following:
> Nitrox.
> Soft drinks Tea/coffee & snacks.
> All port fees, fuel charges.
> Nitrox certification if not already certified ($60 admin fee).
Scuba diving equipment will be sold to event attendees at huge discounts as our way of saying thanks for your support. We will be conducting a minimal amount of training at huge discounts. All proceeds go to Trident Warrior veteran training fund. (All training pre-requisites will need to be completed 2 weeks prior to event date):
Wreck $280 or Deep $280 each.
> DPV $180 each (We can sell the LeFeet S1Pro recreational DPV’s for $700 per unit (extra battery for $160). We will provide units for training only.
> TDI Advanced Nitrox Decompression Procedures. $1305.00. Note that you MUST be a certified and competent Sidemount and or twinset backmount diver prior to this course. You will undergo fundamentals assessment to ensure that you are capable of maintaining trim, buoyancy, frog kick, back fin, helicopter fin techniques and go through a comprehensive equipment check one month prior to event.
Fineprint: No single supplements excluding double cabins #14 & #15 but you will be paired up with a buddy of same sex and personality match to share a room where there are two twin beds in each room. We like to hold a video call with participants prior to confirming booking to chat with you about the trip and make sure we deliver your expectations. Once you are given a place on the trip you will be required to pay a Non refundable deposit which is automatically calculated when you complete the reservation form. In order to hold your spot you must first complete the form and then Trident Warriors will contact you to review an finalize your reservation before sending an invoice for the deposit. Final payment is required 60 days before sail date. Trident Warriors would prefer to book your flights for you as this allows us to earn points to help us pay for a veterans fully funded position on the trip. We will support your airline of choice however please be mindful that if you insist on booking your own flights that you will be guided through the process of booking your own flight and obtaining your visa to enter Egypt and will be asked to provide your flight and Visa details so we avoid any mishaps. You will be required to purchase and carry travel AND divers insurance. You will be asked to provide lots of details including dive count, last dive, dive certification and numbers that we will verify. Rules for divers lottery entry: All divers will have one ticket placed into the hat for each trip. Your total live-aboard trip cost will not exceed the cost of a basic cabin ($1500) and will not include flight, excluded costs like crew tip, park fee’s, alcohol or other expenses. You will be refunded if you are the lucky winner. Tickets for the free trip are pulled from the hat on the FIRST day of the trip. Finally, this is a trip filled with fun single divers but a couple or two may sneak in. The trip is strongly geared towards military veterans and fun people, singles and members of the public that support our veterans that can interact with veterans in a harmonious manner so please, if you are a Karen or Ken then we would appreciate it if you went on the trip starting on 33nd of Julugust. There will be military veterans on the trip so please know that profanity will be widely distributed and dark humour is our strongest ally that has helped us through hard times. Please consider other options if you think this may offend you.
